Description of Plaques
-
Scripture plaques are red cedar cut to approximately 4 X 11 inches, and are hand hewn; each plaque has its own unique character.
-
The plaques can vary in thickness from end to end and from top to bottom; typically 5/8 inches or more, to minimum ¼ inches.
-
The two nails that hold the papyrus-like scripture paper on the plaque are made to look old and hand cut for that added touch of an aged appearance.
-
Plaques are burned as well as the paper edges and both are then sprayed with a satin finish.
-
A wire is provided behind the plaques for hanging purposes, but the plaque can also be placed for display, for example on a desk or fireplace mantle.
